RICHSS (Redfern and Inner City Home Support Services) is an organisation that provides volunteers to visit people who are isolated, due to age, infirmity and disability.
The needed a name and identity that was descriptive and evoked something of the work they do. And they needed a stand out brand identity that positioned them clearly to all audiences – staff, volunteers, government and partners.
We created the name Neighbour Connections. It’s clear. It describes both who they are and what they do. It positions them well. And it’s easy to use. And we created a new visual identity, based on a (helping) hand symbol that also reflects their inner city purpose. The fingers of the hand become inner city buildings which is where they they make neighbour connections. The new brand was launched in December 2011.
