The birth of a new AFL icon.
We had to create a brand strategy for a new AFL team deep in the NRL heartland – Greater Western Sydney. Helping the AFL to choose a team name from 20,000 suggestions created by the local community.
The challenge ahead was enormous: to create a lasting following for a new code – by building a Club (and brand) that covers Greater Western Sydney, the ACT and Southern NSW – an area almost as big as France and as culturally diverse as Europe.
We tapped into a community mind-set that’s about unlocking a better future for everyone in the Greater West. With a brave brand idea that centred around the giants being focussed on innovation and football for the future.
And dare to think like Giants.
